The average cost of nursing home care is about $8,500 per month.  Medicare and insurance that supplements Mediare won't cover most nursing home care.  People in need of the care and unable to afford the cost often must seek help thorugh Medicaid, known as MaineCare.  There are lots of stroies about "the State taking my home" and other bad consequences around seeking State help but what is the real story? This workshop will explain the facts.

Tai Chi For Health

Although this is an introductory class, students will take away a daily tai chi practice regimen that offers many health benefits including improved balance and leg strenth, increase immunity to common illnesses, joint inflammations, and pain reduction, and other potential benefits for those who suffer from chronic illnesses such as arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, and heart and lung ailments.
