This class will start with a review of essential techniques from the basic class and would cover those materials in more depth.  Some new materials will also be introduced.  Plan on exploring specific types of photography based on input from the participants.  Possibilities include sports photography, night photography, composition techniques, etx.

Grow Your Own Organic Garden

Interested in learning how to grow your own vegetables in a sustainable manner?   Basics of soil science and how to enrich your soil to produce healthy, high-yieding plants will be discussed. This course wil cover the fundamenatals of making and using compost, the principles of crop rotation, and how to incorporate green manures to manage nutrients in the garden.  The instructor is an experienced farmer.

Hunter Safety Course ~ TBA

This Course meets the Mandatory Maine Licensing requirement for first time hunters and is recommedned for all Maine hunters.

Students must be 10 years of age to take the Hunter Safety course.  Students between ages 10-12 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian who is 18 years old or older.  Testing assistance is available.

Tai Chi Yang Style Intermediate

This class is a continuation class of the Yang Style for Beginners for intermediate students who already know the Laughing Dragon Yang Short Form.  Teacher is Susan Glick, Lead Guide of the Laughing Dragon North.     The October-November class will explore other forms of tai chi as well as other qigong forms, while continuing practice and refinement of the Yang form.
